  • Mark began his racing career in go-karts claiming four championship titles and finishing 3rd in the 1989 World Championship.
  • He competed in Formula Ford in 1990 and won the 1991 British Formula Ford Championship as well as the Formula Ford Festival.
  • Competed in the British Formula Three Championship in 1992 and in 1993 finished third in points.
  • From 1994 - 1996 he drove in the FIA F3000 Championship and in the equivalent Japanese Formula Nippon.
  • In between he drove in multiple endurance races and has nine starts under his belt at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
  • From 2001 - 2006 he regularly competed in the Belcar Championship, winning the title in 2002 and 2005.
  • Starting 2006, he explored new challenges in North America by entering single events in NASCAR Busch Series and NASCAR Nextel Cup.
  • In 2007 and 2008 he competed in the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series in the Daytona Prototype class.
  • Holds the record of four wins (1997, 1998, 2005, 2007) in the Zolder 24 Hours race along with Vincent Dupont and Anthony Kumpen.
